Story of The Baker – Niyyatii Gala

Her mantra in life… ‘Just Okay Is Not Okay’

Niyyatii Gala was a born artist. She found her interest in styling and designing as a child. Coming from a family of textile businesses she understood fabrics and their use. She loved cooking as a girl and would always plate her food in the most beautiful way possible. Her inclination towards art led her to a Masters degree in Fashion Design.

She landed her first job as a stylist for a show that aired on television and went on to work for some films as well. Her journey as a stylist was moving ahead, she tied the knot and also started her own label but life had some other plans for her. As recession hit the country, her work came to a halt. The birth of her child and time on hands led her to discovering her love for baking as she came across a baking workshop that instantly caught her attention.

That was a turning point in her life and an urge to make her child’s first birthday cake as grand as possible was the birth of ‘The Baking Gurl’. She created a spectacular theme based birthday cake for her kid and one birthday cake led to another and then many for neighbors, birthdays of friends, kids etc. She soon realized that spreading smiles with her baked goods was her passion and that is what she wanted to pursue.

No accomplishment comes easy. With a toddler at home and responsibilities at hand, she would practice baking in the middle of the night when the family would sleep and create masterpieces for everyone to enjoy. She created over 100 theme-based cakes and bakes before she decided to upgrade her skills and turn from a home baker to a patisserie chef.

Niyyatii enrolled at 32 Degree Studio for the City & Guilds programme and received her certification of a patisserie chef. She now bakes numerous baked goods and delivers freshly baked sweetness right to your doorstep, made with love. She conducts baking workshops and never stops experimenting and creating something new. Each item made in her kitchen has a little bit of Niyyatii in it as she pours in her heart and soul to make them perfect and your special occasion even more amazing.
